The Early Years Food Coalition is proud to announce its Practitioner Advisory Group

The Early Years Food Coalition is pleased to introduce its new Practitioner Advisory Group, coordinated by Bremner & Co as Coalition secretariat, facilitated in partnership with the London Early Years Foundation.

The group brings together early years professionals from across Greater London, representing a diverse range of settings and food provision models. This includes childminders providing personalised home-based care alongside managers of larger private, voluntary, and maintained nurseries, with food provision models that range from centring packed lunches to some that provide every meal in house.

Their perspectives on food in the early years are shaped by the daily realities of their work: managing meal provision on tight budgets, navigating nutrition guidance alongside the many other demands of the day, and supporting children and families with widely varying needs. Over the coming months, they will help us explore what good food policy looks like when it works in practice, where the sector is already doing things well, where barriers remain, and how practitioners can help shape meaningful change. Members bring valuable firsthand experience of what it takes to feed young children well, every day.

You can meet the Practitioner Advisory Group members and read their stories in the document below. We are delighted to have them as part of the EYFC network.
